I just realized that I should have labelled all my posts so that it would be easier to find a specific subject when searching!! I took the time to edit every post to add a Label on the bottom. By clicking on the label you should be able to bring up a list of ever post that has that label attached to it. And you can type in a label name in the search bar at the top of this blog to find posts related to that label. Some of the labels I used are- TESTASTRETTA, 999, GEOMETRY, VALVE CHECK, VALVE CLEARANCE, 748, CAM TIMING, UPGRADES, WEIGHTS AND MEASURES, FOR SALE, etc. So if you'd like to find info on Cam timing for a 999- search Testastretta, Cam Timing. Let me know how it works out and any suggestions for making it easier to use. I'm still learning this blog stuff!!! Steve

CAM TIMING

I thought I'd share this info about cam timing that was in Cycle World magazine, it's from the "guru", Kevin Cameron. Notice that the most important valve timing event is the intake closing point. Also the really small "valve overlap" of only 11 degrees for the new Diavel (and the Multistrada, I believe) for low end grunt.

I hope you find it informative.
