VISI-TEC BRAKE LIGHT FLASHER INSTALL

Following is the install for this well designed and functional unit. I've received a prototype for the BMW R1200RT to test. Installation was easy and straight forward and it works as described on the website:
http://www.vizi-tec.com/

I like the way this unit works and believe it to be safer than plain brake light modulators.
I hope to have a video link posted showing the unit in action.
To gain access to the wires, remove the two screws from the back of the directional lights and let the tail light assembly hang down.

This photo shows the wiring on the back of the tail lights.
Brown wire to Ground
Striped wire to Hot.
These wires are unplugged and replaced with the Black-White sets of the Visi-tec.

Remove all four wires from both tail light bulbs. NOTE which terminals they came off! AND attach the wires from the Visi-tec.
Black-Brown
White-Striped
Plug the Red to the Striped wire.
Black to the Brown (ground) wire.
Only on set of wires to the two tail light bulbs are used for the conversion. The other Striped and Brown wires are not needed.
I installed the unit with Velcro to the vertical part of the tray under the tail.
I still have room for my air pump kit and tool roll.

Visi-tec video

Here's a quick video I did of the operation of the Visi-tec brake light modulator. I may have got some info wrong, so please check the website....www.visi-tec.com for another video.

PLEASE NOTE: I have no affiliation with Visi-tec, but was sent a prototype to try and report on it's functionality.

Visi-tec installation

Here's the Visi-tec brake light flasher unit for a 2006 R1200RT.
Notice it's compact size.
These are the 6 wires that need to be attached. The paired black and white wires plug into the back of the brake light bulbs, replacing the Brown (grd.) and striped (feed) original wires. The Red and Black straight spaded wires of the Visi-tec plug into one feed of the brake lights--the other feed can be left off.
