Here's a picture of what the pipes looked like before and after being polished.

Couple random pics of my helmet.
Sorry for the fuzzy pics....need some practice with the camera!!
I'm putting back all the original parts--but decided I like the Woodcraft rear sets better than the stock ones.
BLING BLING!!
Front pipe looks good.--BTW- I started with 240 grit wet/dry sandpaper on the rusty areas, followed with 400 grit, then maroon Scotchbrite pads, Grey Scotchbrite, grey pad with Mothers polish then Mothers alone!!!
The exhaust was tarnished so I decided to polish it up. Boy, what a lot of work!!!---12hrs later and it's ALMOST done--gotta do the slip-ons next!!
Coming along nicely. I'm taking the time to clean, inspect and polish the parts as they go back.
This picture shows the engine stand still attached.

1998 Ducati 748- frame up rebuild

I ended up using the rear stand to lift the bike up with the engine stand attached, then with some difficultly removed the bolts and let the stand drop off.
Everything's torqued down...now the tricky part of getting the assembly off the stand.
The swingarm is first mounted to the frame before the frame is lowered into position on the engine. I was able to pivot the frame down from the front engine mount without assistance! Best to get the chain on there first.
The engine's mounted to it's stand and is ready for the swingarm and frame.
Here's the bracket I made to hold the frame to the stand for painting.

Armour Bodies bodywork --paint job--999R

I used Dupont Chromabase paint and Nason clear over gray primer on Armour Bodies bodywork.
I had to first pre-drill all the mounting holes and fill a few dimples where the bodywork was marked for other installation (street??)

Finished product.
